Custom Air Force 1 'Dralions'
Awakening an urban beast from dreams gone by.

I collaborated with Nike to create a custom pair of the legendary Air Force 1s with my signature motif.
The design of the motif was inspired by a poem I’d written as a child and is a mythical creature I christened the Dralion Cristatus - a fantastical beast that’s part lion, part peacock and part dragon. A curious combination of Norse mythology and Sri Lankan folklore, I created the motif that would serve as my signature device.
Nike then took over to foil print the motif directly onto the toe cap, along with my personal monogram winged on the side.
The end result was a combination of Nike’s signature street cool & my own personal style of illustration.
