Designing a new approach for social programming

Context

One&Only Resorts represents a new type of holiday escape - one that is deeply personal and luxuriously indulgent.
Our task was to convert the offline visual identity into a social one, translating the lavish & exclusive into aspirational & engaging.
Approach: From affluent to aspirational

To do this, we created editorial themes and an artfully arranged grid system, designed to capture that singular ‘Only here’ brand promise and the audience’s imagination - drawing them into the breadth of experiences on offer across the portfolio.

In this way, each resort set the stage for serendipitous encounters with nature and local traditions. Our approach and design encouraged unexpected social collisions, always beautifully editorial and ever changing.

Crafting the narrative: Uplift, elevate, inspire
These where the tenets that informed our approach to creating a beautiful social magazine.
The result was an artful curation of branded content spanning film, animation, imagery and anecdotes, all coming together to reimagine the feed with playful flair.


Welcome to the 'Brand Islands'
The focus point for each month is what we called the ‘Brand Island’ - a collection of posts complementing each other in feel and connected in theme.

Though each Brand Island post is designed to work independently, they have been conceived to work as a cohesive set, with overlapping design elements that create a vivid mood-scape.

The content for each month will centre around a single editorial theme that captures a unique One&Only feeling.


Each theme was distilled into a single, stylized word that came to life as playful typography on the grid, complete with a line to underscore and guide the editorial direction for that month.
